Signatures for "Declaration of Human Rights for World Citizens" in 2002

Mr. Kuo Yi Chien/General Manager of ASIA Broadcasting Networks

Q: Nice to meet you, general manager Kuo. Good to have you here with us. Could you please share with us your feeling about this activity?

A: Today I am standing on the highest point in Taipei, the 46th floor of Shin-Kong Skyscrapers. I'd like to spread out love, the best of true love from the highest landmark building in Taipei. I deeply believe that the world will be better off with the true love. As a member of world citizens, I believe we all have responsibilities in making the world better by filling it with love. Only with love can we go to the UN. Only with love we can go toward the whole world. I really think today's activity is significant. And as being a media professional, I also wish to spread love through media to make everyone happy and joyful. So the activity today is really important. And we will always support it.

Q: Speaking of love, what do you think is the relation between human rights, love and peace?

A: I think human rights and peace are actually one thing, and we can simply call it "love". Peace requires love, and human rights also need love. Only love can reconcile the difference, make up for the conflicts and soothe the wounded. Tai Ji Men really puts this into practice by spreading love and acting peace. By signing my name, I made a wish for the good of the world and my heart and love goes with the wish. This is what I feel.

Q: So at the moment you sign your name, what was inside your heart?

A: I think that as being one of the world citizens, signing names means full devotion to the world. A wonderful smile is the best of way to communicate with each other.

Q:We know human right is now the social and world current. What's your opinions about the integration of government, non-government and media forces to together promote human rights in our country or internationally?

A:I think, well, from a media person's point of view, I will help those who with love to reach out. I think it applies to everywhere. Here in Taiwan, I think wherever you go, there is love. And there is hospitality everywhere. I still think that with love we can resolve everything. So I think we'll just encourage all the people as much as we can do. Only by spreading one's love that lie inside his heart, then there is human rights and peace.
