Human Rights

Samantha Wu/Homestead High School

The premise of human rights denotes the guarantee of mankind to treat fellow men and women certain ways.  To enslave another man is despicable, for every man is equal.  As Thomas Jefferson asserts, “All men are created equal.”  Human rights protect this sacred code by allotting every human on this planet liberty to do as they please, ability to gather knowledge by any means, and anything else that ensures equality.  However, this is not practiced everywhere.  Therefore the quest for human rights continues, though it should not be required.  Everyone who has the ability to do so should attempt to pursue human rights for all.
