Peace

Peace, one simple word that is really hard to obtain in our country. As simply defined in the dictionary, Peace is the Tranquility of a person or of a place. Meaning, it could be peace of mind or peace obtained in any way. Peace is an advocacy in our country that is hard to be established. As the peace advocates of our country are always saying, peace is the only way. I agree with it. Peace is the only way for us , the citizens of this country to be united. As I may say, peace is synonymous to unity. For we can never be in peace if we are not united. But before obtaining peace, we should first learn how to understand each and everyone of us. We are different people with different religions. We have different ideas and different perspective about anything and everything about the things around us which should be fully understood and respected. But despite these differences, we can still obtain peace, we just need to be sensitive. There is the need to be sensitive about the things that we say and the actions that we do towards other people. Because even we do not mean any bad thing or any bad intention on what we are saying, other people may perceive it as bad.

However, for our country to be peaceful we should start from within ourselves. Because as they say, big things start from small ones. We should first be peaceful from within our home. Then next, in the community. Slowly by slowly we can make our country peaceful with the help of the government and the people involved. The government plays a big role in the fulfillment of our peacetime. They know much about the dos and don'ts in a peace talk. But they should be also sensitive to the needs of the people involved, sensitive to what they really want. And how they want it to happen. For as long as no one will get hurt they should proceed to keeping our country peaceful. Talks and negotiations are necessary and will be helpful. Because in the future our grandchildren’s children will be so happy living in a peaceful community. A peaceful Philippines. Not a war zone, but a beautiful place to live on.

We should also help the government in the peace talks. But for some, prayers will do. Let us hope and pray that somehow Philippines will be peaceful someday.
