Everybody in the world knows what horrible things we are doing to our beautiful environment.  Why don’t we fix it?  Some people might know what to do from newspapers, TV commercials, and in magazines.  This article will tell what everyone should do and what happens if they don’t.

First, let’s start with our hardest obstacle, Carbon Dioxide.  There is an invisible protection around planet Earth called the Ozone Layer.  This layer absorbs about 97% of the sun’s high frequency ultraviolet light.  About 91% of the Ozone Layer is still present.  That means with Carbon Dioxide, we destroyed 9% of the Ozone Layer!  This means we should drive cars the least amount as possible and to the places that are 10-20 minutes away, to walk, ride a bike, etc.  If we don’t do those things, it will melt our ice caps which will make more water and all the islands might get covered with water.  The other thing that might happen is for the Ozone Layer to vanish.  Scientists have no idea on how to make Ozone Layers, so if we waste it, it’s our fault.  Soon it will be too hot to be on Earth without the Ozone Layer. We also need to clean up trash and throw it away.  We can’t let our only home to become a huge pile of waste.  So we need to clean up the trash.  All we have to do is clean up your area.

Lastly there is Sea Level Rising.  Because of the Global Warming, it makes Sea Level Rising.  It has averaged 1.8 mm per year for the past century.  We have to keep it like that, and to keep it, we have to stop Global Warming.

As you can see, it is clear that we need to be environmentally friendly.
