There were many serious disasters during last ten years in the world. For example, an earthquake took place in Taiwan ten years ago. There was a tsunami taking tens of thousands of lives away after Christmas in South Asia four years ago. Then, there was a big hurricane causing the West-South U.S.A flooding. Those unusual phenomena proved that climate is changing.

Second, years before, the idea of recycling, reducing and reusing became to popularize. Recycling is to recycle the available resources. Reducing is to reduce the trash. Reusing is to reuse the things that could be used again. It said that people began to be aware of the importance of global warming. It is not only a proper noun but also a big problem now and in the future.

I didn’t attach importance to global warming until I watched the film “±2℃,” I had never known our land would be flooded if we continuously consumed nature. And most of the animals and plants would vanish in the world. Even when the change of temperature climbs over six degrees Celsius, humans would vanish. However, we had no idea how to deal this problem. Actually, Taiwan would be among the first group of climate change victims. I can not imagine what the world would be after twenty years. I don’t know if sky is still blue or clouds are still white, but I know my son or my daughter will ask me “Dad, why do we have no water?” What should I answer them? I have thought we have water is rightly since I was a boy. Nevertheless, wasting our resource made the world come to an end.

Now, our Earth is crying. We unscrupulous developed industry last two centuries. But it was a pity that excessive industrialization destroyed the balance of our environment. Little by little, the nature started its counter. Global warming is biggest environmental problem in the world. There are many tangible steps we can take in order to solve the problem. First, we can do some little things in our life. For example, we can take the public transportation replace driving a car or we can adopt a vegetarian diet to help reduce global warming. On the other hand, we can build the green buildings and use reusable energy. Besides, we should restore the place to oceans and mountains. The most important thing we have to do is reducing the greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide and methane. The greenhouse gas is the true killer murdering the Earth and it is also the main reason causing global warming. If we all act now, hopefully our next generation will enjoy much better environment and climate than we do. Since there is so much benefit to be obtained from protecting our environment, let’s start today.

As a result, my wishes are leaving a clean Earth to our children, leaving a clear river to them, leaving hyaline sky to them and leaving green savanna to them. Above all, leave a regenerated Earth to our children though it is not new anymore. It is still the mother of existence.
