Protecting the Earth Depends on Each Every Person

Climate change, which could threaten our life and properties, is a challenge we all have to face together. We share the same earth, same atmosphere, and we are on the same boat. No matter what country, what race or what language or culture, nobody can stand aside from it.

All around the world, we can see the significant alter of weather and the power of natural disaster. Precious lives were taken and homes were lost. Storms, typhoons, heavy snow and drought happened alternatively around the world. It was as if the world is trying to tell us, the once proud and greedy humans, to repent of what we've done to our mother Earth.

Steps must be taken, and changes must be made. Only through fixing the way we live can we make s difference and save ourselves from the consequence of human-made pollution and the possibility of extinction.

First of all, we need an organization. This organization must be unbiased, and it have to show the world how some corporations pollute the earth, as well as how legislators do or not do their jobs in putting out stricter environment standards and laws. With such organization, the public would get to know what happened under the table, and who is gaining profit through the process. By doing so, public could put pressure to change and become more environmental friendly.

Secondly, people of developed countries should analyze the way we live our daily life. The so-called "modern" way of living had caused great impact on the environment due to its energy requirement and massive consuming, and it is about time that we think about the true value of live and redefine the modern way of living.

As we live our daily life, energy consuming is inevitable. That makes lessen the population an important task. Nowadays, there are approximately six billion people around the world, and the population grows higher. In developed countries such as Japan and Europe, the birth rate is low, but in places like India and Africa, the birth rate remains high an d have no sigh of dropping. A great population can cause many problems, by reducing thru population, we save energy as well as improve the quality, and it is perhaps one thing we could do to save the earth.

Saving poverty is another important issue. Some may question why saving poverty has anything to do with it. Once people don't have to think only of getting a living, they think about what is right and what is essential to improve the quality of their surroundings, thus, corporations would no longer have the chance to pollute their habitat and people would be more willing to follow measures to help save the earth.
The challenge is harsh and difficult, and we are short of time. What we should do now is to take action, it doesn't have to be something that's difficult or significant, and those actions can just be a simple move or change in our daily life. Turn off the switch when not needed, buy products that are environmental friendly, and support parties that vow for environment protection. Protecting the earth is not to rely on certain people or governments or scientists, but depend on each every person.
