In the endless universe, there is only one Earth for human beings to live in. The Earth provides us with a great number of indispensable things, such as air, water, oil and so on. It not only contains many breathtaking views for us to enjoy but also contains the atmosphere to protect us from the harmful radiation as well as the directly sun light. However, in regardless of the Earth’s numerous actions to keep human beings safe and ensure our prosperity, we started the industry revolution and thus made the damage to the Earth increased day by day. It was undoubtedly a vicious circle that best described the relationship between human beings and the Earth. To end this vicious circle, we should take immediately action to reverse the global warming which was the main problem that aroused international awareness. First of all, we should make every person living in the Earth clearly understand how dangerous the crisis that we are facing is. By releasing documentary and the great number of reports conducted by climate experts, I think we are on the right track but not enough. In my opinion, the government should take more responsibility instead of hiding behind those green organization or celebrities’ efforts. Second, the developed country and the poor country should give up having dispute with each other. It is high time for all of us to cooperate, not to conflict. If all the countries kept focusing on their own interests, we humans might destroy ourselves in a short time. Take the Copenhagen conference for example, it was a breakthrough but ended up being a nig failure which achieved no vital goal at all. Third, despite the fact that big treaty or policy could only be decided by those politicians, the rest of us could do much more than we expected. We should abandon the concept of mass consumption and start to live a limited life. It didn’t mean that we should torture ourselves to save the environment. We could simple live a limited life by reducing the trash we make and the food we eat, by reusing the things that we forsake them only because they are out of fashion at all. And by recycling our trash to save more energy waste and diminish the amount of trash. Forth, we should take the mass transportation rather than drive our own car. Besides, riding our bicycle is also a good way to protect our Earth. Both taking mass transportation and riding bicycle have one thing in common; that is, they could eliminate the emission of CO2 and thus slow down the acceleration of global warming. In the end, we should always keep in mind that saving the Earth is everyone’s responsibility. What’s more, it not only protects us from national disaster but also ensures the right of our next generation to have a good environment to grow up in.
