The lack of concern and harm caused to this planet is irreversible and impossible to ignore. However, while there is no way to repair the damage done, it is still possible to prevent more harm being done than would have without anyone’s effort in stopping it. Many years ago, the world used to be filled with grass of a thriving green. The sky used to be a clean crisp blue, and the water used to be a clean color. Unfortunately, these few years, humans have been uncaring towards the environment. Even simple things have contributed to the terrible state of the planet. For example, people have left lights and electronics on when not needed, thrown away recyclable items, and being wasteful in their daily lives. However, this can all be fixed if people change the way they live. Lights can be turned off when leaving a room and televisions turned off when no one is watching. Plastic bottles can be recycled or even reused instead of being dragged to a landfill, where along with other bottles, can become a mountain of garbage. People can also walk or ride a bicycle instead of riding a car. Not only will this save gas and cause less pollution, the person walking can also exercise, benefiting both the environment and him. As shown, many of the daily activities of humans pollute and cause harm to the planet they live on, the Earth, yet there are simple acts done that can repair some of the damage without worsening it. Anyone can contribute, and the Earth will become a cleaner, more welcoming place.
