Exclusive interview with the president of AWC Taiwan, Dr. Hong Tao Tze
(AWC Taiwan reporter's exclusive interview with the president of AWC Taiwan)

Q: From the viewpoint of "world citizenship," what do you feel about today's presidential inauguration?

A: A wise leader can guide humanity towards a better life, and free people from pain and suffering caused by calamity and natural disasters. I hope that, through love and wisdom, leaders of all nations can lead their people into the 21st century.

Q: Please tell us about your prospect and ideas for the contemporary world.

A: Only after mankind has peace in their hearts, will there really be a peaceful world. This is the most difficult and also the most simple job. I believe that if every person can have a heart of peace, the world will be filled with hope.

Q: How will you keep promoting the idea of "World Citizenship" in Taiwan?

A: "World Citizenship" is global. We can let all world citizens have a chance to express their opinions and communicate with one another through NGO and cultural exchange activities. In 2001, the World Citizens Assembly (WCA) is to be held in Taiwan. I hope that all people who have the same idea can join us, and together, through real action, we can strive for the idea of world citizenship.
