Striving to Reduce Nuclear Weapons

Now day’s nuclear weapons form the backbone of countries like USA, UK, Russia, Brazil, etc. They are in wide demand and efforts are being made by each country to produce more and more of them as to ensure no armed threat. The Government of countries think that nuclear weapons are important for their social economical and scientific development but actually they lose a great threat to mankind their effects are cumulative and lost for decodes.

The word ‘nuclear’ stands for energy released during reactions in atomic nuclear. In the reactions that take place in atomic nuclei , various elements and chemical products which are explosive in nature and are combustible (which can be burnt easily ) are used some combustible and explosive elements and chemicals are potassium, mercury sodium, calcium, chlorate, etc.

There are a number of countries which are also harmed along with the country where the nuclear explosion took place. The people in these countries are killed for without any reason. It affects that population rate of a country and children are born with diseases like polio, gastroenteritis, etc.

There are several ways of exploding nuclear bombs and missiles. They can be exploded in air, water and land. Nuclear Bombs are used for explosion on land and missiles are used for explosion in land or water.

Large supercomputers are used for exploding nuclear missiles in air or water. These missiles release so much of chemical energy and heat that all the air or water gets contaminated and unfit for use. The atmospheric air or water becomes rich in carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, etc. and reduce proper Oxygen supply due to which people inhale contaminated air which causes diseases like carbon mono oxide poisoning , etc. which ultimately lead to choking or slow death of a person. The water or air becomes unfit for use for human being and even plants and marine animals for at least 3 to 4 decades. There have been several cases where nuclear explosion took place and harmed the environment
Some of the most popular cases have been listed below.

1. On 3 December 1984 Bhopal launched a nuclear missile which exploded there only. Poisons gasses escaped, contaminating more than 40 sq. Km of the city, killing thousands. Thousands of survivors had to live with blindness and other physical and medical elements. Protective measures were taken but the damage had already been done.
2. On 24th March 1989, a nuclear missile was launched by Slovenia which exploded in Ukraine, a city in former USSR. Poisonous gases and radioactive material were released into the atmosphere this contaminated many regions of Europe, causing a large numbers of deaths and extensive damage to the environment.
3. On 30th January 2000, a nuclear bomb was exploded in Lisa river in Romania releasing 100,000cubic centimeter of cyanide.

By the time emergency measures were undertaken the river had already been contaminated and the diffluent was already on its way to other areas.

This, we see that nuclear weapons cause a lot of harm to mankind and we should spread awareness among the people about the adverse effects of nuclear weapons so that they might put up combined resistance and stop the government of their country from using nuclear weapons.

Peace, harmony and fraternity would heavily if the use of nuclear bombs and missiles is totally banned.
