Toward a world with no borders

「The sky of Haiti was gray, and the city was surrounded by darkness, a little girl squatted with tears beside, no parents around her, but pains and sorrows winkled her face.  People are all terrified and don’t know what to do, the town was filled up with despair, and it was more heartbreaking than anything.  However Other than the Misery I saw, there is still hope shining through the darkness, that is International Rescue team, they brought not only food ,water, medical aid to those who are injured, but also hopes and support to the hole town.」

Seeing this on TV, I couldn’t help feeling touch and relieved, at the same time I was wondering why those foreign rescue team would willing to help those who are seeming strangers to them, than I realize it was the compassion for those victims that motivate to do so, It was also the compassion that inspire them to treat other people as their brothers and sisters, It was the compassion that encourage them to believe , all the people in this would should belong to the same place which is call global village.

In this ever changing world, a boundary of a country doesn’t limit out contact with people outside, yet, a boundary inside our mind may prevent from understanding other people.  Only with compassion can we dismiss the selfish idea and think about others.  Once we start to care about all the human beings in this world, then we can be in their shoes trying our best to provide help by whatever means available.  For example, we can donate some money food or clothes to those who are in need, or we can be international volunteers to help others, by doing so, all the people are brought close to each other, disbelieve and misunderstanding will be gradually erase.

Well goes the old saying “no man is an island “To achieve this goal, compassion is what it takes, if we can have more concern about other people in this global village.  Then we can create a brave new world with no borders.
