Statement on Education

California State University Los Angeles, Student, USA / Anonymous

In a world that is ever-changing, it is a pivotal time in the history of the world to make education a top priority in our lives. Not only for ourselves but for our future generations as well. Education is the backbone of developing young children into the future leaders of the world. Education prepares us for the world, it guides us in generating our understanding of what is right or wrong, what is good or bad, and what we can do to help make the world a better place.

So is it right for lawmakers all across the United States, especially lawmakers here in California, for them to cut back on what is necessary for the development of young adolescent children into the future leaders of America? I believe not, it is pivotal that our government spends less money in trivial matters such as welfare for farm animals, gay rights in California, and many other trivial measures that we vote for every year. What we should be concerned with is how California's Education budget is getting cut every year. Our future, not only as a state but as country relies on the quality of the education which reflects the quality of our future leaders. And if we have a system where, we take furlough days, giving teachers pink slips, and seeing our tax dollars go to trivial insignificant matters. Then our future looks very bleak, and we should find a way to change for the betterment of our state and our nation.

I believe, as I said earlier, that we should cut back on the programs that have no effect to general populous in the state of California. And that we should spend more time on programs that do effect the general populous in California. Like education, welfare, unemployment, these programs help more the general populous then rights for farm animals; I believe the only way forward for California and America is for every single American to look themselves in the mirror and think about what they can do to change California and America And, I believe that having and education is the way to start about change in California and America.

Thank you for your time and consideration in listen to my thoughts.
