Human Rights Must Prevail

Jagdish Gandhi, Founder, The City Montessori School in Lucknow, India

I am thankful to you for inviting me to the 2010 world Summit on Human Rights for World Citizens. I would like to say that there is a very passionate spirit in you for uniting the world. For the achievement of the aim you have been organizing various international programmes for inculcating in the participants an intense spirit for working towards world citizenship like your own. May I say that you have lighted a candle of world unity. I believe that your efforts will bear fruits one day because the undying spirit in you will help in convincing the people of the world that time has come when humanity should accept world citizenship for peace  and development. The write up accompanying your appeal is enough to indicate how eager you are to inculcate this undying spirit among the people of the world.

In fulfilment of the desired objective you have now summoned 2010 World Summit on Human Rights for World Citizens on April 1, 2010 when the issue of world citizenship and human rights will be discussed for the good of the people of the world. I believe this will be a turning point in the world unity movement, which has already made much headway. The proposed summit will convince the people that the golden hour of world unity has arrived and no one should miss it.  The summit will take place under the benign guidance of a great world unity promoter. The participants will be face to face with the wise man of the world. In my opinion your philosophy of world unity will influence the thinking of the whole world. The people of the world are furtunate in having you to guide them how to become world citizens.

I agree with you that human rights must prevail uniformally accros the world. All citizens the world should enjoy the same equal rights so that they feel the pleasure of being world citizens. I also believe in your thinking that without uniform human rights and other rights the world cannot make any worthwhile progress and development. For progress and development a world government is  essential and every citizen of the world must join hands with a wise man. Missing this opportunity will be unfortunate for humanity.

No sincere world citizens would like to miss the world summit 2010. It will be historic for human rights and world citizenship. I would have participated in this momentous summit to listern to the views of participants and your own in this respect. However, I will be occupied with very important school programme on the day of the summit and hence I will have to miss this opportunity so kindly offered by you. I beg your appology for not being able to attend the summit. But I know this summit will be a turning point in the world unity movement. The summit will clear the way for unity of the human race.

With kind regards,
Yours sincerely,

(Dr. Jagdish Gandhi)
