　　"This is your home and our home, we expect to have your continuous support and care for us." Without the people's care and love from every corner in Taiwan, we can never be able to make this Nan-Yang Charity Institute of Elders in Taiwan reached out to China and the world gradually, and make it known to all our friends coming to visit Taiwan, I have no other words than saying "thank you" with deep gratitude from bottom of my heart. We are now stepping forward for the sustainability of our history by continuously practicing and executing our faith and belief with your participation of this great contribution to this land.

　　I had this thought because of thinking of my mother who leant on the door so lonely to see me off to the school, and my father stroked lying on the bed helplessly, I said to myself that I should establish a charity institute where we can offer the other elders a place to have happier life instead of those lonely, helpless life in the past.

　　Then I resigned my teaching job in the elementary school, spending all my savings to establish this non-profit institute, all my family felt so surprised why I had made such big change. My friends also didn't understand my purpose, and the only answer for them to guess my decision is that I must have been out of my mind. However, for the past ten years, I had really actualized what I thought at the beginning, and it has been over 10 years up to this day. Nan-Yang has been the platform for the global elders to extend their love and care to each other from Taiwan to other countries and vice versa. We are now aiming at building the Disney Land for the Elders, and plan to set up the international organization for elders to exchange experiences in each country, and the preliminary stage has been begun. Thanks to many domestic and international media's volunteer propaganda year after year, such as China Times, United Daily News, Liberty Times, udn.com Co., Merit-Times, Tianjin Times for Elders, China and The World News, Sing Tao Times, etc. Moreover, there are many programs broadcasted for us by electronic media such as DaAi TV (The enthusiastic Icelanders and the growth power in Taiwan), Era TV(Era Good News), PTS TV(lightening Program), Yilan Cable TV(true love in Nanyang), XMTV(Elders communication cross straits Program); In addition, we are grateful to the reporter of each magazine, such as Reader's Digest (the paradigm of the humanity and bravery), the Jiangyi Magazine (family reunion for the 3000 elder members), Commercial Weekly(Mr. Lin Xien-Chung is going to build up the Disney Land for elders), Tawian Monthly Magazine (Nanyang's mind, Xien-Chung's love), Yunqi Weekly(91 classes of Nanyang old babies, Nanyang Charity Institute is making known to everyone), Global Voice (Charity Institute Special Report), Cable TV Monthly(Charity Institute Special Report), Anti-cancer Monthly(to fight against cancer, you can be cured); We also appreciate many conductors' support of each program, such as BCC Formosa Network (Formosa has everything you need), BCC Yilan Radio Station (Telling stories from elders), cbc919(Happily walk together), Pacific Radio Station(The Stories of Yilan), Education Radio Station(Nanyang Charity Institute Special Report), Radio Taiwan International(The Focus People), Tianjin People's Radio Station(The Maple leaves are read), they have produced many programs to introduce Nanyang Charity Institute, so we can have the various opportunities to promote our ideas, and it has brought up the resonance from each individual, and has brought to us many visitors to Yilan , and the crowd of the visitors has become a special scene of this small town, and has attracted even more people to visit us.

　　Life is short and unpredictable, I have thought the meaning of life for a long time, and some people asked me" If you can't make it happen of this charity institute, what will you do?" My answer is that, if a person can provide the thinking space about caring the elders to the society, it is worthwhile, especially when life can grow with the land and be merged in the track of the history, there is no question of the length of life, because it goes with the stream of history. Therefore, my goal is to construct a positive image of Taiwan to the world, let people from other countries see the sincerity and honesty of our people, especially the elders; this is also the bench mark of the volunteers to work here whole heartedly, if we want to make Taiwan stand up in the global society, we have to build up the unique warm cultural restrain, we will be able to let all the foreign visitors understand the meaning of "Formosa" in Taiwan, it is really a wonder land to all of us.

　　For the past 10 years, all the 256 volunteer pedagogues, they share their spare time to teach the elders here without receiving a penny, and we are grateful to the providers for 103 free locations, so the elders can have places to study without worrying about no classroom, they have not received a penny as well; we are even more grateful to the volunteers to provide their warm service to all the attendees, many of them even put aside their daily work, just come to help the institute to grow without asking any favor. We deeply believe that we can't decide the length of our lives, but we can decide to put the meaning to our lives; therefore, we need your further support for the following 10 years and the years to go, and we hope you join us to promote this great process of this vision for the elders and for you and each of us:
Seek for Resonance, to condense mutual awareness, to gear up the strength and power, and to build up common vision.

　　Elders have the most valuable life experiences, they have profound knowledge with diversified social network relationship and mature passion, they are the treasure of the society with the most powerful influence to promote the social welfare activities; therefore, we must help the elders to walk out from their home, and join the activities for elders, we can help them not only to enhance their health, but also reduce the medical care expenditure, and minimize the family problems, it is beneficial to the family, the society, and also the country.

　　When we face the global potential crises, such as global warming, population ageing, diluted humanity, we hope to transfer the elders force to become the social assets, and we hope to attract the attention to the society for helping us to strive for creating a future happy land for the elders.

　　All the volunteers are happy to serve for the elders with love and care, although it has been more than 3000 days since the beginning of this institute, we never regret for such efforts that we have put to the elders. We hope to build up a building for the elders institute, and make it become the center of elders' interaction with the elders from domestic and from all over the world. We hope to let elders from other countries see the beauty of the oriental elders like those who enjoy in the institute, and we hope to introduce the warm atmosphere to every corner of this island and to our friends from other countries, we hope to ally with the international elders teams and become the members of the global village.

　　Our friends, the land is ours, the history is evolving, we don't have time to wait for others to do it, you and I will become elders very soon, the problems of the increasing elders are the problems for you and for me, we hope to call for at least 1 million people to join and become members, we call for the good person like you to contribute your effort, either donate your money or your time for volunteer work, With your help, we can play an important role to create a happy life for the elders for the current world and the future world as well.
